Cleaning your
home may not always be a chore that you look forward to. It may
not exactly be the way you wish to spend your weekend. But while
vacuuming is never fun, there is a way to make the job a little easier.
Central Vacuum Systems are changing the way people look at
vacuuming their home. Installing a Central Vacuum System is a
healthier way to maintain your new home and a great investment for new
homeowners.
The best thing about central vacuum systems is that it is not
necessary to carry the bulky, heavy unit from one room to the next or up
and down the stairs. This system is a great tool for expelling
pollutants, as well as harmful allergens such as dust mites and their
minute droppings.
These systems are designed to remove all the dust and dirt
from your home and send it through the tubing located in the walls
to an out-of-the-way location such as a garage or basement. Central
Vacuum Systems are equipped with high performance motors that are unique
with specially designed motor fans. The dirt and debris get accumulated
in the dirt canister, while the remaining small particles are vented
outside. These systems require one to carry only a lightweight hose and a
power brush unit around the house. With the increase in popularity of
these systems, several varieties and options have now become available.
There are two main product decisions from which one can choose i.e. the
power unit and the power brush. Again, one may choose between the cyclonic or the filtered system.
Selecting central vacuum equipment
On an average one can find three or four styles that vary in power,
size and price. Though these systems are typically rated by air flow,
air power or horse power, these measurements have little to do with
effective suction. The best way to access these systems is the
"waterlift" i.e. a test of a sealed system's sucking power. As a thumb
rule, the smaller system with a waterlift of 105 inches to 120 inches is
good enough for a 2500 square foot house.
